Completed in 2007, Cabrita Cliff Haus gives new meaning to “Room With a View”. That’s because each luxuriously appointed room opens onto the terraces that surround the house and provide incredible views of the ocean. Even the kitchen has an exquisite view of St. John and the open Caribbean Sea that can make even washing dishes a pleasant part of your vacation.

The convenient “East End” location is known for it’s accessibility to the community of Red Hook with it’s shopping, marina and ferry dock with connections to The British Virgin Islands, downtown Charlotte Amalie and St. John. The proximity to beaches is another advantage. We are within walking distance to Bluebeard’s Beach where the Ritz Carlton is located, 10 minutes to Sapphire Beach and 15 minutes to the famous Magens Bay.

OWNER’S PROFILE

Cabrita Cliff Haus was built by Walter Feddersen, 46 year resident of St. Thomas Island. His wife Jane is responsible for the exquisite decorating that makes CCH a true gem. It is clear from the second you enter the secluded property that every detail was meticulously planned by the Feddersen’s. The property is located on the Feddersen’s favorite jogging path. Realizing that this pristine location had one of the last great views left on the island, they decided to purchase the land and bring their vision to life. The first guests were welcomed to the property in the beginning of 2007.

We are avid sailors and love swimming and diving. The Virgin Islands are the perfect place for these pastimes. Walter is a builder/developer who sailed to St. Thomas Island from Hamburg, Germany over 40 years. He came out of retirement to build CCH and his passion for quality is reflected in every detail.

Jane is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and has always been an ‘island girl’ at heart. Jane is responsible for the fabulous decorating throughout. Furniture was custom made in Bali, and each room has a unique theme. No expense was spared in creating one of the finest villas on St. Thomas Island.

Though Walter and Jane are avid travelers always scouting for somewhere else they might like to live, “every time we fly back and see our tiny island coming into view, we’re so happy to call St. Thomas Island our home.”
